About Me

My Story

Hi there! My name is Marissa, creator of this website and author of book-in-the-making, "Finding You". This bl is not only about my journey from being a solo parent for four years to being the type of wife and mother God called me to be, but so many other things that moms go through on a daily basis. I became a mom at the young age of 18, and then again at the age of 21. For much of that time, I was probably considered more of a solo parent than a single parent and life became hard. I lost myself, became a version of myself that I didn't recognize, and my heart became hardened. I met my now husband in 2019 and slowly things started to become better, but I have to make it clear that I wouldn't be where I'm at without the infinite grace, love, and forgiveness that God has shown me. That is what I hope this page to be about; to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be a light unto the world. 

My Testimony

 My journey as a single mom has not been easy, but I have found purpose and joy in sharing my experiences with others. I hope that my story can bring light to those who need it most. I grew up in the church but never experienced a true relationship with Jesus until 2022 when He met me where I was, dead in my sin, and pulled me out. I could probably write and entire book about how Christ has saved me but it still wouldn't measure up to the glory that He deserves.

Writing with Purpose

Through my writing, I aim to be a source of encouragement and inspiration for those who may be struggling. I feel a calling to use my experiences to help others find hope and strength. Each word I write is filled with prayer and purpose, and I hope it can make a positive impact in the lives of my readers.
